The temperature is maintained while continuous mixing moves the material through the heated chamber. This combination of temperature, exposure time and movement is central to the substantial reduction of pathogen load.
WOAH lists this core temperature and time for a 7-log reduction of high-pathogenicity avian influenza virus in poultry meat products.
USDA identifies 74°C (165°F) as the safe minimum internal temperature for poultry—a recognized control point for Salmonella and other foodborne pathogens.
USDA APHIS identifies this heat exposure as effective for inactivating Newcastle disease virus.
Published benchmarks apply to defined materials and conditions. MAOF combines a higher sustained operating range with continuous mixing and a long dehydration cycle. Site procedures, process records and any required local validation still apply.
Part of the farm plan
MAOF combines sustained heat, continuous mixing, exposure time and moisture removal to substantially reduce pathogen load and produce dry, stabilized material.
It supports—but does not replace—the farm’s cleaning, staff training, pest control, controlled traffic and outbreak procedures. The output should not be described as sterile and must follow approved local handling requirements.
